Travel from Sigatoka into Fiji’s rural interior by off-road vehicle, with local guides such as Sadam, Moses, Tia, or Una sharing village stories and cave history. You’ll cross the river, attend a traditional kava ceremony, wade through parts of Naihehe Cave, and return for a generous BBQ lunch. Bring shoes that can get wet.
“The guides were all great. Saddam, who took us to the cave was very personable and funny. He also had some great serious stories to tell inside the cave. The drive to the cave went through farm land which in itself was part of seeing the real Fiji. This is an off the beaten track tour which is what I was looking for. Lunch also excellent.”
